The Domestic Violence and Victims’ Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service in the Central Region is investigating a case in which a 22-year-old man impregnated his 19-year-old sister at Abura Abaka in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District. After the sister had delivered, Ebenezer Aidoo is alleged to have threatened to beat his mother to death if she does not allow him to marry his sister as originally agreed.Ebenezer told Joy FM’s Central Regional correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko that his mother collected GH¢40 from him for impregnating his sister out of wedlock and agreed to the relationship, therefore, he did not understand why she was now preventing them from getting married. His sister, amid tears, added that she informed her mother when Ebenezer proposed love to her and she (the mother) asked her to agree.Ebenezer said he would refer to the child as his nephew, even though he is his biological son.Meanwhile, Ebenezer, his mother, and his sister (Ama Esumanba) have all been charged with incest and are currently in police custody.
