The High Court in Accra has adjourned once again hearing of the treason and terrorism charges against the Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong.
The prosecution led by Rexford Wiredu told the court they were yet to be handed the docket on the case by the police and prayed the court to adjourn hearing for three weeks.
This is the second time the case has been adjourned and for the same reason.
Kennedy Agyapong is standing trial for alleged inciteful comments and a declaration of war on an Accra radio station.
He was arrested in mid-April and held briefly before being charged with treason, treason felony and terrorism. He has since been granted a ¢200,000 bail.
When the case was called Wednesday, the prosecution filed fresh charges including terrorism and genocide, but appealed for time to enable a thorough investigation to be done on the matter.
Joy News’ Anny Osabutey was present at the court on Wednesday and reported the prosecution says it has yet to conclude investigations and therefore needed more time.
The case has consequently been adjourned to July 6.
