Kosmos Energy has suspended its planned listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange this year.
The oil production and exploration firm had rescheduled its listing from November last year to March this year.
Officials then explained there were a few knotty issues that needed to be resolved.
Sources say Kosmos has communicated their decision to suspend the listing to the brokerage firms working on the offer, IC securities and Databank.
Joy Business has learnt the letter simply asks the firms to suspend all processes relating to the offer assuring them that they will be settled for all expenses incurred so far.
It adds that they may come to them in the future should they decide to list again.
Some have attributed the suspension to difficulties KOSMOS is having in coming onto the exchange but sources close the company say it’s purely a business decision and that they may make another attempt next year.
KOSMOS was hoping to raise some $50 million from the public offer.
