Black stars captain John Mensah wants to join the team shortly after recovering from injuries that have kept him out of the team since the last Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.Mensah’s long term future in the game has been called into question after featuring in just one game for his club side Lyon last season. The 29-year-old’s career has been saddled with injuries in the last three years, prompting fears he might have to call it quit to save his health.John Mensah told Joy Sports he has resumed training for the first time in four months and should be available for the Stars' next match. The French based player stated he is returning stronger than ever.“Right now I’m fine, I have started training and I hope very soon I will be back to join the national team.“I miss the national team as captain and will be back stronger than ever”.
