The national under-17 male team coach Paa Kwasi Fabin has been forced to drop 10 of his players who failed an age test organized by the Ghana Football Association.
20 players underwent the compulsory MRI scan to ascertain the authenticity of their ages but half of the number was caught as age cheats.
CAF has ordered all federations to do the test and submit a report ahead of the African Under-17 Championship qualifiers which begins next month.
Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin in an interview with JOY Sports stated that the situation will not affect his preparations for the qualifiers
“This will give us a little hiccup but we have most of our key players around so we will manage the situation and continue our preparations towards the qualifiers”. He told JOY Sports
“We have already invited other players to fill in the gab so we up to the task”.
