The National Lottery Authority NLA has secured judgment from the Commercial Court to stop the Gaming Commission from issuing licenses to companies’ engaged in lottery.This was after the NLA sought a judicial review of an earlier ruling seeking to restrain the Authority from using civil remedies rather criminal to prosecute companies engaged in lottery.Speaking to Joy Business after a news conference on Tuesday, Director General of NLA, Kojo Andah said they are happy with the new rulingThe court also directed the Gaming Commission to stop sponsoring, conducting or supervising any promotions or Game of chance.The ruling would have implications for permits already issued by the commission to Companies running promotions.
