Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Joan Angel Roman from Manchester City. The 19-year-old midfielder joined City three years ago when they paid Espanyol £1million for his services. However, Roman has failed to break into the first team and he has now opted for a switch back to his native Catalunya. Sky Sports revealed earlier this week that talks were at an advanced stage and now Barcelona have confirmed the deal. Stronger The teenager has signed a three-year deal at Camp Nou and will start the season with Barca's B side. "Being in England for three years has helped me to mature a lot and to become physically stronger," said Roman. "I'm raring to start and start learning. When I heard Barca were interested in me, that was my priority. "I can assure you that I'll work hard and give everything I can out on the pitch."
