The Ghana Football Association says they are no longer going to pursue Kevin Prince Boateng to rescind his decision to retire from the Black Stars, after several failed attempts.
The AC Milan Midfielder announced his decision to end his international career in November last year, citing health concerns.
The GFA has since tried on several occasions to lure back the 25-year-old with GFA president Nyantakyi and Black Stars Coach Kwasi Appiah all visiting him in Italy.
Kevin Prince Boateng earlier this week insisted he has no regrets over choosing to represent Ghana over Germany at international level but spokesperson of the GFA Ibrahim Saanie Daara explains their focus now is on committed players.
Daara told Joy Sports that “several players of the National team and his (Kevin's) own family members have spoken to him about it. If Kevin is ready to play for the Black Stars again, the doors are open.”
