This year’s edition of the Inanda Africa Cup polo tournament will kick start from Friday 20 July, 2012 to Sunday 22 July, 2012 in South Africa.
The Inanda Club in Sandton is preparing for a spectacular display of horsemanship at the tournament. The prestigious championship final will take place on the 22nd July, 2012 in a spectacular display of horsemanship in the company of Africa’s social elite and the equestrian circuit.
South African Tourism, the national tourism agency responsible for marketing South Africa as a tourist destination, is a partner in this year’s tournament and using it as a platform for brand association and as a draw card to attract visitors from its core market in Nigeria and target market in Ghana, as well as other countries across West Africa.
Polo Clubs from Nigeria and Ghana are expected to converge and participate in the championship.
Ghana’s Polo team, the African Polistas that finished fourth at the Inanda African Cup Polo last year in Sandton, will be hoping to build on their performance as they seek to win the ultimate in this year’s edition.
The Ghana team won Gold medal in the 2008 edition of the tournament.
