Virgin Atlantic has come to the rescue of red-blooded males by offering to provide banks of patio heaters around the courts of the Olympic volleyball sites – so that competing beauties will continue to wear bikini bottoms.
The airline’s generous offer follows suggestions that the young shapely women were threatening to wear tracksuit bottoms because of Britain’s cold weather.
Said Virgin Atlantic spokesman Greg Dawson: “We can’t let the British cold weather endanger what is arguably the highlight of the entire summer games.
“Providing patio heaters will enable the girls to enjoy the same warmth that many of our passengers hotter climates such as the Caribbean take for granted”
“While others talk about leading from the front, in this case we are more than happy to be leading from behind.”
