Suleiman Habuba, Media Director of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to take on new challenges by leaving his post at the continent’s football governing body.
The news will come as a shock considering the developments the CAF Media Department has witnessed during his tenure.
Habuba confirmed to GNA Sports from his base at the CAF Secretariat about his departure whilst counting the benefits of his association with the Cairo-headquartered body. He joined CAF in 2003 and headed the Media Division.
“It has been a great and exciting experience working with the African football governing body. These nine years have contributed enormously to the development of my career and life in general,” he told GNA Sports.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Secretary General, Essam Ahmed, has since been appointed Acting Media Director.
