2012 premier league best player Daniel Nii Adjei is making a GHc9000 demand from his employers Kumasi Asante Kotoko before he extends his contract.
The money according to the midfield supremo is the remainder of an agreed GHc30,000 signing on fee between him and the 2012 league champions over a three year period.
“I am waiting for Kotoko to pay me that money before we negotiate a new contract. If they pay, we will sit and talk about a new contract and everything will be fine,” he told Joy Sports.
Meanwhile Nii Adjei has denied rumors that he has declined to renew his contract with the porcupine warriors.
“Someone called me and said he had seen a story on the net that I have rejected a new contract that Kotoko has given me. I don’t know anything about that. It is not true. They gave me a new contract to study and get back to them. I am not done studying it yet and that doesn’t mean I am rejecting the offer.”
The ex-Power FC player joined Kotoko about four seasons ago.
