It is with deep sorrow that the National Executive Council (NEC) and the entire membership of the Association of Road Contractors, (ASROC) Ghana has learnt of the sudden and untimely death of His Excellency, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, former President of the Republic of Ghana.
The Association is even more saddened by the demise of our beloved former President, especially as it has happened when the nation prepares the nation heads towards major national elections in December, 2012.
ASROC extends to Her Excellency, Dr Naadu Mills and the entire family of our late President, its heartfelt condolences and assures them that the thoughts and prayers of our members will continue to be with them in these trying moments.
Our condolences also go to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress and all Ghanaians on the occasion of such great and national loss. The Association recollects some memorable and useful interactions it had with His Excellency, dating back to year 2008 (when he was the NDC candidate), having hosted him to a policy interactive session to hear his views and vision for the construction industry.
That interaction formed a basis for further cooperation all through the tenure of His Excellency in a bid to improve the Road Construction industry.
ASROC uses this opportunity to congratulate His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on assumption of the high office of the President of the Republic of Ghana. It is the belief of the Association that the Good Lord will himself guide and guard him through his tenure.
May the Good Lord Richly Bless us all
