Trading activity in the informal sector which has slowed down in the last few days due to President Mills’ state funeral would today come to a complete hault.
Shops in the Central Business District as well as Market Centers in the capital such as the Kaneshie and Agbogbloshie markets are to be closed to business for most parts of today in honor of the President Mills.
On a typical holiday like today, business activity comes to a total hault mainly in the formal sector.
But Joy Business has learnt traders in the capital have decided to join the formal sector by completely shutting their shops today as a way of paying their last respect to the late President.
