Chelsea star Eden Hazard has hailed striker Fernando Torres as one of the best in the world, and is backing him to show his best form in the new campaign.
Torres has struggled since joining the Blues from Liverpool in January 2011 but began to hit form at the end of the 2011-12 season, and was named top scorer at Euro 2012.
The forward is looking to live up to his £50 million fee and fill the void left by Dider Drogba, who left for Shanghai Shenhua earlier in the summer.
The Spain international opened the season with a goal in the Community Shield on Sunday, but Chelsea were unable to hold on to their lead after Branislav Ivanovic was sent off and fell to a 3-2 loss.
"It was a great finish, and I know a lot more will come." Hazard told Sky Sports News.
"Fernando is one of the best strikers in the world - quick and powerful and very efficient in front of goal."
Hazard joined the Blues for £32m from Lille and could make his Premier League debut against Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
