Airtel Money, Ghana’s Mobile Money Service of the Year is donating mats and desk phones to various mosques across the country.The donations form part of a series of engagements aimed at building a long lasting relationship with the Muslim Community by offering products and services that will be relevant to their needs.
Head of Mobile Commerce at Airtel Ghana, Martison Obeng-Agyei explains that “the gesture is to facilitate communications amongst mosques across the country as well as providing mats that will meet their every day needs, especially during this Ramadan period”.Airtel Money has since its introduction in Ghana expanded its services to include the payment of services including DSTV, electricity and water and as well as make payments in outlets such as Max Mart, Koala, Melcom among others. A cashless economy is a plausible scenario in the next few years and Airtel Money is playing a key role in making this happen.Head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs of Airtel Ghana reiterated that Airtel Money is primed to maintain its status as Ghana’s leading mobile commerce product. “We have put in place mechanisms that allow for the safe, simple and secure, usage of Airtel Money.
