Innovative EPS Limited (IEPS), a company registered in Ghana, has launched its commercial operations early this year with a state-of-the-art payment gateway technology.
IEPS, which has a large data warehouse, is currently integrated with the nation’s leading telecommunication companies such as Scancom (MTN), Airtel, Vodafone, Glo, Tigo and Expresso to promote their prepaid sales through an electronic platform.
A statement issued by the company said IEPS will assist service providers to alleviate current challenges and improve their operational efficiency.
“The company’s technology platform is unique and flexible making it possible to integrate almost every service provider thereby providing a direct access to their customers who want to pay them for availing their various services,” the statement added.
It further stated that IEPS also intends to bring major utility services on board such as Electricity Company of Ghana, Ghana Water, DSTV and any business that would want to have an effective way of collecting cash and reaching out to their customers on a 24/7 basis.
Companies that can take advantage of this innovative service are the banks (i.e. for virtual banking), microfinance companies, insurance companies, MMDAs, Susu operators, National Lottery Authority, Property Rental services, and domestic airlines.
“Customers can use their Account Number / code to pay physical cash into safes mounted in the terminals, which have built in security feature that can detect counterfeits,” the company stated.
It added: “The collections are sole responsibility of the partner bank, which only have an access to the safe. The terminals are as secured as ATM. Exclusive data protection / privacy of various service providers is guaranteed.”
The company says it is ready to have business discussions with any relevant business that wants to cut down cost by providing innovative means of reaching out to more customers.
