The current squad of the national amputee team, the Black Challenge has been beefed up with four foreign players from Turkey ahead of participation in the Amputee World Cup in Moscow, Russia this October.
Richard Arthur and Francis Antwi Darkwa of Yenimahalle in Ankara, Turkey and FC Konya duo Richard Ekwam and Attah Yeboah are the players currently in camp together with their home based team mates who were selected from a special justifier your inclusion organized in Kumasi and Accra last month by the Management of the Amputee Football team.
According to Benjamin Charles Armah who is the assistant coach of the Black challenge, the inclusion of the four players will add some bite to the team’s play.
“These foreign players know our game so we want to use them as the pivot of the team”. He told JOY Sports
“They will assist the local boys as we train for the tournament”.
