Krobo Girls Senior High (KROGISS) has qualified to the quarterfinals of the 2018 National Science and Maths Quiz after eliminating seeded Nifa Senior High School.
The Odumasi Krobo-based school ran the five-mile contest with fervent hopes of making the next stage and to secure the envious seeded position ahead of Dzodze Penyi and Nifa SHS.

Dzodze Penyi SHS were almost reduced to passive observers in a contest that had Krobo girls and Nifa putting in some gallant performances.
Krobo Girls on their part led the contest from Round One to finish although Nifa gave a tough fight in a bid to defend their priceless seeded spot.
In The Problem of the Day both KROGISS and Nifa SHS had perfect scores each [10 points] while Dzodze Penyi were gifted with a 1 point consolation for their effort.

The True or False round gave solace to all teams as the schools had points deducted for wrong answers.
In the final round where contestants were to solve riddles from clues, Nifa had the chance to grab some points to overturn KROGISS’ victory but Dzodze SHS picked the second riddle and KROGISS picked the first, third and last riddle to carry the day.
