An articulated truck has caught fire close to the site of the collapsed Melcom shopping centre at Achimota.
The truck, according to Myjoyonline.com's photojournalist David Andoh, who is at the scene of the incident, caught fire at about 300 metres from the collapsed structure.
It is however unclear what caused the fire.
The Melcom structure collapsed Wednesday morning and so far over 70 people have been pulled out of the rubble while nine are confirmed dead.
Currently, members of an 18-man Israeli team to help rescue any remaining survivors in the collapsed structure are currently at the site.
Three persons, Ramesh Sadhwani, Co-Managing Director of Melcom, Victor Mensah, also from Melcom and the Works Director of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly have been questioned by officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
