Four women are being held by the police for allegedly burning a one month old baby in a kitchen at Tokaali in the Upper West Region.
The quartet whose names were not given out by the police for "security reasons", were picked up following complaints by Amina Abdulai, mother of the deceased to the police after the incident.
The late Faizal Abdulai was strangely found in the kitchen which had been set ablaze, even though Amina claimed she had put it to sleep in her room and went to nature's call.
ASP Edmund Adinkra Nyamekye, Acting Public Relations Officer of the Regional Police Service told Joy News correspondent Rafiq Salaam that, the police suspect foul play.
Little Faizal was rushed to the Wa Regional Hospital but died Friday, two days after the incident.
The police say the suspects will provide a crucial clue towards unraveling the circumstances leading to the death of the toddler.
