The Mayor of Accra Dr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuiye has lost his wife Mrs. Vanderpuiye.
This was confirmed to Citifmonline.com by the mayor himself who said his wife's demise was after the burial of her brother on Friday.
The late wife of the Accra Mayor had just undergone a surgery and was recuperating before her passing.
The Mayor however indicated that it is possible his wife died as a result of the shock of losing her brother.
The couple have two children.
