Black Stars coach Avram Grant says they must improve their performance going into their next game against Mali on Saturday.
Ghana got off to a flying start at this year's Africa Cup of Nations as they defeated Uganda 1-0 on Tuesday.
Considering the team's lackluster performance in the second half, many felt Uganda should have equalised or probably won the game.
But Grant says they deserve to win but admits they must work hard to shape up well before playing Mali.
"I am happy for the three points, in a game like this the result is more important than anything," he said after the game
"But I think we must improve on our game going into the next match, we need to stay on top of our game.
Ghana plays Mali at 4 p.m at Port-Gentil on Saturday.
