Taxi drivers in the border town of Aflao in the Volta Region are demonstrating over the alleged shooting of one of their colleagues by an Immigration officer.The driver is alleged to have been shot for refusing to pay a bribe demanded by the officer.An eyewitness who spoke to Joy News on the incident says the victim is in critical condition.The 66 Artilery Regiment of Ghana Army has been dispatched to maintain law and order at the Aflao border post in view of threats by the youth of the area to attack security officers there.The angry youth are reported to be shooting indiscriminately in the air while the drivers are also burning used tyres.More soon.
