After a goalless start to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana sets the standard with midfielder Agyemang Badu scoring the tournament’s first goal.
Agyemang Badu's 39th minute goal against DR Congo was the first at the tournament after a typically colourful opening ceremony was followed by goalless draw results on Saturday.
The game ended 2-2.
And the goals make up for the forgettable first day matches after hosts South Africa and debutants Cape Verde settled for a 0-0 result in the opener at Soccer City and that was followed by the same result when Morocco and Angola also played goalless.
