Thirty-nine year old Lawyer, Bernard Ahiafu has been elected as the NDC’s Parliamentary candidate for Akatsi South constituency in the Volta region.
He beat three other contenders with 286 votes out of 348 total votes cast at the primaries Saturday afternoon.
The seat became vacant after MP, Edward Doe Ajaho was elevated to Speaker of Parliament.
Mr Ahiafu in his victory speech hoped he will win the seat for the NDC.
