Airtel Ghana has launched a special service package dubbed “Airtel Premier” to give its High Value Customers (HVCs) better customer service experience.
High Value Customers are not necessarily customers belonging to a particular class in society, but those whose airtime and data consumption on the Airtel network meets or crosses a certain threshold.
These may range from young data junkies, farmers, traders at Makola Market who make lots of calls, to top corporate executives.
Managing Director of Airtel Ghana, Philip Sowah told a gathering of Airtel HVCs, industry regulators and journalists that the benefits of Airtel Premier include 24-hour access to dedicated helpline, dedicated lounges for premier customers across all Airtel showrooms with dedicated agents, dedicated relationship mangers, and dedicated interactive website exclusively for premier customers.
He said premier customers also stand to enjoy “exciting value added services (VAS), including a higher limit on Airtel credit services so that when you are speaking on phone or browsing and you run out credit you can call customer service and be given more credit to continue your experience.”
Philip Sowah said the service also comes with exclusive deals that allow particularly postpaid premier customers to trade in old handsets for the latest ones on the market.
“Airtel Premier also offers our valued customers the opportunity to undertake a fully paid trip to the UK to go see Arsenals play at the Emirates Stadium, and those who are already undertaking trips to the UK on their own can also inform us and we will give them free tickets to go see Arsenal play,” he said.
He said premier customers will also get free roaming for the first 100 minutes of calls they came while outside of this country, and would only pay a token for additional minutes of calls, plus no charge when they receive calls while roaming, and only pay local rates for SMS depending on which country they are in.
Philip Sowah is confident that the Airtel Premier package will give the HVCs the comfort and great experience they deserve and also save them a lot of time to do other things.
