King Faisal owner Alhaji Grunsah fears selection of home-based players into the national team could be characterized by favoritism following FIFA’s announcement of a package for such local clubs.
The world football governing body announced recently that local clubs, whose players feature for their national teams in the 2010 World Cup, stand the chance of benefiting from a bulk allowance of $40 million dollars.
This is part of increased prize money that FIFA approved for the mundial next year.
Alhaji Grunsah had earlier criticized the GFA for not motivating the local clubs whose players were included in the Black Stars for the last world cup.
