Alive Health Check, one of the recently created modules under the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) has presented a sponsorship package worth 17,000 cedis in support of this year’s Annual Easter Soup Kitchen organized by Joy FM.
The package included 15 bags of rice, 20 cartons of tinned tomatoes and a free health screening for 1,000 beneficiaries who will participate in the event.
The sponsorship forms part of Alive Health Check’s social responsibility to support the underprivileged in society.
Presenting the items, the National Coordinator of Alive Health Check, Fred Frimpong said the beneficiaries will be screened of their blood pressure; sugar level; temperature and also their Body Index measured for free, on the day of the event.
Mr. Frimpong said, “the officers who will be deployed to the grounds will counsel beneficiaries on healthy lifestyle practices to adopt to increase their lifespan”.
“We believe that these people go through a lot of hardships and stress to put food on their table and might show symptoms of blood pressure for example. However, due to their busy lifestyles they are not able to access our free services at the designated points and therefore with a platform like the Easter Soup Kitchen, we are bringing our services to their doorsteps”, he said.
