Ghana star winger Andre Ayew has been named Olympique Marseille’s player of the month of January.
The 23-year-old beat his younger brother Jordan Ayew and striker Andre-Pierre Gignac to the coveted the award.
Andre swept 55% of the total votes cast by Les Olympians fans while Jordan Ayew received 24% and Gignac came last with 21%.
He scored twice in January in the games against Montpellier and Stade Rennes.
After an early season disturbed by injuries, the 2010/11 Marseille player of the season is picking up his fine form.
He will receive the award when Marseille host Valenciennes at the Stade Vélodrome on Saturday.
