The deputy Minister of Agriculture in charge of Fisheries, Nii Amasah Namoale has disclosed government’s intention to establish a College of Fisheries at Anomabo in the Central region.
The deputy Minister made this known when he donated fishing items and roofing sheets amounting to GH¢ 25, 000 to the fishing town Thursday urging the people to take advantage of the business opportunities the college holds.
Speaking to Citi News after the donation, the deputy Minister said because of the strong educational history the Central region holds, the people of Anomabo and the region as a whole should take advantage of this opportunity in order to benefit from it.
“...The college is not for fisher folks only, it’s for Ghanaians. Elmina, Anomabo and the Central region should take advantage of the school that is coming here,” he urged.
