It's been a journey to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with all sides in the last-four coming from the West African bloc.
Familiar sides Ghana, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Mali will be in action on Wednesday in the last four games.
Now, only one team stands in the way between Ghana and the final. And it's Burkina Faso.
Both sides meet at the Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday with kick off at 18:30 GMT.
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, has been reflecting on the West African dominance at the Nations Cup and insists that the similarity in playing styles means that the small details will make the big difference.
“Our style of play and mentality is somehow almost the same,” Appiah said on the eve of the semi-final meeting with Burkina Faso.
“Burkina Faso have got a good team. At this level, it takes little, little things to be successful. They are doing very well defensively.
“Their midfield and defence is very good. It’s not going to be easy. We will have to do extra work and fight to get the win.
“As a team, they are very good. I would not pick individuals but they have some key players that you automatically have to pay attention to them.”
