Some residents of Jukuku about seventy kilometres from Tamale were last night ambushed and attacked by armed robbers.
The victims who were mostly women were robbed of several goods and monies worth over two thousand cedis.
District Chief Executive for Central Gonja, Salifu Be-Awuribe tells Joy News the men suspected to be Fulani herds men subjected the women to beatings when the women resisted attempts to undress them.
Some of the victims are currently receiving treatment at the Tamale West Hospital.
