The Gunners ease to victory against a lacklustre Liverpool side…
- 01 Szczesny – 8
Brilliant performance from the Pole. Crucial saves galore.
- 03 Sagna – 7
The Frenchman was composed in possession, as per usual.
- 28 Gibbs (Vermaelen – 78′ ) – 6 & n/a
Dealt with Sturridge and Suarez well, but didn’t offer much going forward.
- 04 Mertesacker – 7
Outstanding. The German has been one of the best centre-halfs in the country this year.
- 06 Koscielny – 6
Less impressive than his partner, but made some crucial interceptions.
- 08 Arteta – 7
The Spaniard replaced Flamini, and completely outplayed Gerrard and Lucas in the middle.
- 07 Rosicky (Monreal – 72′ ) 9 & n/a
Rosick has arguably been the unsung hero of Arsenal’s excellent start to the season. Fantastic with the ball at his fee, and the best player on the park.
- 16 Ramsey – 8
Bagged a ridiculously good goal. Having a sublime season.
- 11 Özil – 6
Weirdly quiet. Though if the Gunners carry on winning, Arsene Wenger won’t care.
- 19 Cazorla (Jenkinson – 84′ Booked ) – 9 & n/a
Cazorla showed everyone why he was comfortably one of the best players in the country last season. Barely ever gave the ball away, and bagged a nice opener.
- 12 Giroud – 7
The French striker held the ball up very well, and helped Arsenal retain possession of the football.
