Fidelity Bank has announced a Gh¢216,000 sponsorship package for Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club.The three-year deal is aimed at encouraging the team “to step up their game”, according to Jim Baiden, Deputy Managing Director of Fidelity.He says the bank will also assist the club to mobilize funds through the MTN Mobile Money platform.“This initiative will go a long way to support the club financially by raising funds with ease. It will also serve as powerful means of building the support base of the club across the country and enable the supporters to invest in the club’s fortunes”, he noted.Kotoko, in return is expected to grant Fidelity Bank the right to use the title: “Official Bankers for Kumasi Asante Kotoko” on the team's jerseys.The partnership deal, which forms part of activities commemorating the bank’s 5th anniversary, was signed at a ceremony in Kumasi.Mr. Baiden expressed Fidelity’s committed to promoting the economic and emotional well-being of all Ghanaians.He described Kokoto as the “single biggest corporate entity in the Asanteman Kingdom”, hence the bank’s decision to support the club “to symbolize our care for the development of sports in this country”.Board Member of Kotoko, Paul Adu-Gyamfi assured the Club’s management will ensure “whatever we do will not only uplift the good name of Kotoko but also to lift the name of Fidelity Bank”.
