Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has arrived in South Africa to lend his support to Ghana’s Black Stars, who face off with Stallions of Burkina Faso in tonight's 2013 African Cup of Nations semifinal match.
The Asante kingdom overlord promised to visit and support the Black Stars in South Africa when he visited the team in camp ahead of Ghana’s 7-0 thrashing of Lesotho in a 2014 World Cup qualifier held in Kumasi.
He left Kumasi yesterday morning and has arrived in South Africa.
The Asantehene is scheduled to visit the Black Stars at their team hotel in Nelspruit but will not attend the semifinal match this evening due to some official duties.
He will, however, be present for the final match if Ghana beats Burkina Faso tonight.
