The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu the second will on friday morning, cut sod for work on the kumasi sun city project to commence.The ultra-modern construction when completed will include a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, amusement park, hospital and 240 semi-detached executive houses.The complex to be constructed by the Kenbert Group is modeled after the sun city in South Africa.The project is expected to give a face-lift to the garden city and increase business investments in the Ashanti regional capital.Petty traders, who are currently occupying the 100 acre racecourse land are anxious about alternative arrangements to enable them ply their trade.The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has however assured they will be relocated before actual work on site begins.Story by Kofi Adu Domfeh/Luv FM/Ghana
