AshantiGold would this weekend be seeking to earn a good result in the African Confederation's Cup as they play in Tunisia. The Miners after eliminating Ivorian side, Sewe Sport in the preliminary stage of the competition would take on experienced campaigners, Etoile du Sahel.Sitting third in the domestic league, AshantiGold have been impressive recently as Zdravko Logarusic's appointment seems to have given them a lift. But Logarusic and AshantiGold would have to battle Etoile without the experienced Sampson Cudjoe, who is suspended for this weekend’s round of 16 first leg tie in Sousse.Cudjoe picked up two yellow cards in both legs of the previous qualifying round against Sewe Sport. However, an unperturbed Logarusic says he has options available and believes his side can cope against a side with a rich continental history.“[Sampson] Cudjoe is a key player but I believe the substitute will be up to the task,” Zdravko Logarusic told the GNA this week.“Etoile is a strong team and they have the history behind them. At Ashgold, we take each game as it comes and I believe in the abilities of my players.”A good first leg result would hand the Miners a further boost ahead of the return clash in a fortnight's time.Source: Ghanafa.org
