Ashanti Foam Factory Ltd (ASHFOAM) has donated laptops, printers and an amount of Ghc50.000 to the Wood Workers Association of Ghana (WAG).
The Financial Administrator of ASHFOAM, Mr William George Forson, who made the donation in Accra last Friday said the gesture was in line with efforts to fulfill the company's cooperate social responsibility.
He said the donation was also to help the wood workers to grow the business.
The National President of WAG, Mr Reynolds Apeke Debra, who received the donation on behalf of the association thanked Ashfoam for their kind gesture and urged other corporate bodies to emulate such good deeds.
Mr William George Forson noted that the donations are part of a yearly routine aimed at strengthening ties with their key stakeholders.
“We always donate to them [WAG] if they are having a program or having any difficulty. We have always worked hand in hand witH WAG because mostly they are into carpentry and we deal with foam so they...always need foam to do their upholstery,” Mr Forson stated.
He said it was due to partnerships with stakeholders such as the Wood Workers Association that their business has progressed over the last ten years, adding that they were noW branching into the sale of other products such as high quality paints for interior and exterior décor, bed sheets of various kinds and sizes, bed spread, and many others.
These products, he revealed were in all their showrooms across the country.
