Assistant Ghana captain Andre Ayew has suffered a slight knee injury during Saturday's training at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars team arrived in their home capital just after dawn following a 0-0 draw with Comoros in Friday in the first leg of the round two qualifier for the Fifa 2018 World Cup.
The influential player was widely acclaimed as Ghana's best man against the islanders and ahead of the second leg in Kumasi, a potential absence will be keenly missed.
The Swansea forward pulled out of the warm up recovery session to seek medical attention, with a look of concern etched across coach Avram Grant's face. The second leg will be on Tuesday.
