Ghana international Baba Rahman is taking the plaudits that have trailed his superb display in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night in measured doses.
The left wing-back played the entire game as his club Chelsea defeated Ukrainian visitors Dinamo Kyiv 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Rahman, 21, caught the eye with his well-timed tackles and ease of initiating attacks. His most telling contribution came in the opening half when he created Chelsea's first goal by picking out teammate Willian on the right with a brilliant cross-field pass and the Brazilian's cross in was mistakenly headed home by a Kyiv player.
Still struggling to establish himself in the side, last night's performance would go a long way to buy him more respect and game time.
"They are saying I did well and I should keep it up and improve. I am doing quite good but I think I have to improve my game and we will see what happens." Rahman joined Chelsea from German Bundesliga side Augsburg in the summer.
