Former Chief Finance Officer of First Atlantic Bank, Ernest Kwesi Nimako, and Deborah Seyram Adablah are back in court today, December 19, 2023, concerning the ownership of a vehicle.
Three weeks ago, Miss Adablah's suit against Mr. Nimako was dismissed by the court for lacking reasonable cause.
Following a widely publicised lawsuit, an Accra High Court on May 16, 2023, instructed Miss Adablah to surrender the vehicle, a Honda Civic, to the court Registrar for safekeeping until the case concludes.
The court presided by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, also mandated Mr. Nimako to provide all related documents regarding the vehicle to the Registrar.
Miss Adablah brought the banker to court, alleging a breach of an agreement during their time working together at the bank, where Mr. Nimako was supposedly her 'sugar daddy'.
She claimed he promised financial support, a car, accommodation, and other provisions, but later registered the car in his name and restricted her access to it.
Miss Adablah further accused Mr. Nimako of mistreatment, sexual harassment, and tarnishing her reputation.
