Mr. Thomas K. Alonsi, Builsa District Chief Executive, has expressed concern at the manner in which some workers of the Builsa Community Bank (BUCOBANK) were using partisan politics to influence their services to clients.
He said such negative attitude would retard the growth of the bank and urged management and board members to stop the practise.
Mr. Alonsi, who was addressing the bank's Annual General meeting, threatened that if steps were not taken to stop that practice, "I shall be compelled to transfer our accounts with the bank to a bank which is willing to cooperate with the district assembly in the implementation of government policies and programmes and is also willing to give credit to government where credit is due".
He said the bank was still growing and needed the support of all and advised people in the area to buy shares and also save with the Bank.
"The BUCOBANK is at our door steps to help us. However the bank cannot help you if you have no account with it. We therefore need to open accounts to enable us do business with the bank. In this way, we will be able to take advantage of all its financial facilities", he said.
Mr. Alonsi commended Management and Board of Directors of the Bank for their hard work, saying, the bank had contributed to the socio-economic development of the district.
