The sixteen clubs participating in the 2015/2016 Cal Bank Beach Soccer Championship have received the final instalment of their appearance fees from Cal Bank.
The presentations were made after club executives met with beach soccer officials and other stakeholders at the media centre of the Accra Sports Stadium.
The GH 9,600 (Gh 600 each) which was shared amongst the sixteen clubs is the last instalment of this year's appearance after the clubs received the first half before the commencement of this season.
The GBSA has confirmed that the winner of the league will take home a trophy and a cash amount of GH 2,500.
With 20 more games to the end of the season, this season still remains the most challenging for clubs with the first 10 weeks seeing as many changes at the top of the table.
Out of a total cash package of GHC44,000 ($14,490) from Cal Bank, the association put aside half the amount to pay the clubs appearance fees.
Although this amount is seen by most followers of the exciting sport as woefully inadequate to run and sustain the Championship, the clubs and the association have rallied to complete three consecutive league seasons since 2011.
Meanwhile, the GBSA has confirmed Saturday October 17th as the date for the resumption of the league after it went on a two week break.
