Twelve pregnancy cases have been recorded at seven examination centres in the Agona East and West Municipality in the on-going Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Both municipalities recorded four absentees during the examination. Mrs Jane Chinebuah, Agona West Municipal Director of Education, made this known during her tour of some examination centres in the two districts with Mr Jacob Felix Obeng-Forson, Agona West Municipal Chief Executive. According to her, 2,554 candidates are writing the examination at seven centres of the 10 centres in the two districts. Mr J.F. Boison, the Supervisor at the Centre (B) of Swedru Senior High School, said a female candidate died after registration. Another supervisor at Swedru Senior High school centre "A", R. K. Gorman, said three pregnant girls were taking part in the examination. Source: GNA
