Ghana and Cameroon enter a decisive first-leg duel in the qualifying for the 2015 African Under-17 Championship on Saturday aware of the high stakes.
Paa Kwesi Fabin's team are away in Yaounde for the third round match which will see the overall winner qualify for the finals alongside hosts Niger.
The Black Starlets, who drew a bye in the first round will be playing their first competitive fixture in the qualifying after their previous round opponents; South Sudan pulled out of the competition.
However, a combination of fixtures, both domestic and international has given Fabin's side some competition as they come up against a much stronger Cameroonian side, who reached this stage after defeating Burkina Faso at home.
"It's a big game for us and the players are aware of the stakes at this stage of the competition. We need a good result from the first leg before thinking about the return leg," Fabin said.
Getting off to a winning start in the two-leg contest will set Fabin's youngsters on the path to qualification, or perhaps more importantly to avoid defeat.
