Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Saanie Daara is of the view that the local contingent of the Black Stars can provide an ideal back up for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars “B” are currently preparing for a CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso after holding the Stallions 2-2 in Ouagadougou.
New faces, Ahmed Adams and Vincent Atingah have been called up after the first leg in a squad now dominated by 6 Kotoko players and 4 Hearts of Oak players.
They are expected to help Ghana qualify for the CHAN tournament in Kenya but for Saanie, the team can do more by serving as suitable backup to the Black Stars team.
“The Ghana Football Association will ensure the team gets whatever they need to win the game,” he told Asempa Sports.
“The GFA wants to put both the Black Stars and the Local Black Btars on the same footing in order to provide a backup team for Coach Kwesi Appiah”.
Saddick Mohammed and Gideon Waja scored to provide the team with two crucial away goals.
