The Ghana Football Football Association (GFA's) attention has been drawn to allegations of prostitutes invading the camp of the Black Stars during the recent African Cup of Nations campaign in South Africa. The GFA wishes to state emphatically that the allegation is false and has no basis in fact. The GFA put in place strict security measures around the team to ensure that all players and officials were under constant watch to avoid such issues at all times during the competition. We are very satisfied with the output of the state security officers attached to the Black Stars as well as the strong assistance they got from the South Africa state security agencies protecting the team. The team has a strict code of conduct and any player found guilty of breaking any of the codes would have been dealt with severely. The players' commitment to adhering to the laid-down laws of the team before and during the tournament was unquestionable and at no point in time was any player found guilty of entertaining unwanted guests. The Black Stars are ambassadors of our dear nation and the GFA remains committed to ensuring that players who present the nation always behave responsibly on and off the field to serve as worthy role models to children worldwide. We want to assure the general public that the GFA is working hard to ensure that when the Black Stars are fully focused on qualifying the team to the 2014 World Cup.
