A Magistrate court in Sekondi has remanded a 15-year-old Junior High School pupil, who attempted to rape Madam Elizabeth Cudjoe, 48, at gun point on her farm.
The boy was charged with attempting to commit crime, possessing fire arms and threat of death.
Kwamena Ateeku, father of the boy, who gave his gun to his son, was charged with possessing fire arms without authority and he was granted GH¢500.00 bail with one surety to be justified.
The pleas of the suspects were not taken and they are to re-appear at court on September 16.
Police Sergeant Godwin Bawa told the court presided over by Mr Kwame Polley that on August 20 this year, Ateeku gave his single barrel gun to his son when they went to farm.
The Prosecution said Madam Elizabeth Cudjoe, the complainant, went to work on her farm which was close to Atteku’s farm.
Sgt. Bawa told the court that while working on their farm, the boy asked permission from her mother to go to toilet in a nearby bush.
The prosecution said that instead of going to toilet, the boy hid in the bush near the farm of the complainant, removed his trousers and covered the face with his shirt.
Sgt. Bawa said the boy at gun point ordered the victim to undress and demanded sex from her.
Sensing danger, the woman raised the alarm, which attracted some people.
The prosecution said the boy fled leaving behind his pair of trousers but he was arrested at his hideout at Assorko-Essaman.
Sgt. Bawa told the court that the victim reported the case to the Police and investigations indicated that the pair of trousers belongs to the boy.
