Ghana coach, Kwesi Appiah has named Emmanuel Frimpong and Jeff Schlupp in his provisional squad for the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
A trusted source told GNA Sports that Appiah named Leicester City’s Schlupp among the ten selected defenders of the 30 players in the list expected to be prune to 23 for the competition.
Frimpong is among 12 midfielders expected to begin preparations on May 26, ahead of the World Cup; Ghana’s third in succession.
According to the source, Aduana Star’s goalkeeper, Stephen Adams remains the only locally-based player in the team that includes four goalkeepers.
